Lotts of Sky is a privately owned vacation rental near Highlands, North Carolina, operated by the Lott Bush Family Irrevocable Trust. This policy explains what information we collect through this website and our advertising, why we collect it, and what we do with it.
We are a small family operation. We ask for your information for one reason: so we can answer your enquiry and, if you have asked us to, let you know when dates open up.
When you send an enquiry. Our enquiry form asks for your name, email address, phone number, the dates you are considering, the number of guests, the occasion, whether you are bringing dogs, which part of the property you are interested in, and anything else you choose to tell us in the message field.
When you join our mailing list. We ask for your first name, email address, which property you are interested in, and roughly when you are thinking of travelling.
When you respond to one of our Facebook or Instagram ads. If you complete a form inside Facebook or Instagram rather than on this website, Meta passes us the details you submitted on that form. Your use of Facebook and Instagram is also governed by Meta's own privacy policy, which we do not control.
When you simply visit. Our website uses Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel. These record things like the pages you viewed, roughly where in the world you are, what kind of device you used, and whether you arrived from an advertisement, an email or a search. This information is collected in aggregate and we do not use it to identify you personally.
We do not sell your information. We do not rent it, trade it, or pass it to anyone who wants to market something to you.
We use a small number of established services to run the website and our correspondence. They process your information on our behalf and are bound by their own privacy terms:

Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel place cookies in your browser. You can block or delete these at any time in your browser settings, and the website will continue to work normally. You can opt out of Google Analytics using Google's browser add-on, and you can adjust how Meta uses your activity for advertising in your Facebook or Instagram ad settings.
We keep enquiry correspondence for as long as it is useful to us as a record of a guest relationship, and booking and payment records for as long as our tax and accounting obligations require. Mailing list entries are kept until you unsubscribe.
Every email we send has an unsubscribe link, and it works immediately. You can also ask us at any time to tell you what information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Deleting your information may mean we cannot continue an enquiry or honour a booking already in progress.
This website is intended for adults booking accommodation. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
